Parent Teacher Conferences

We are happy to announce that we are nearing the end of our first quarter and look forward to having you join our teachers for Parent Teacher Conferences.  Both the Elementary and Junior High will be holding Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday November 2 and Thursday November 3.

Elementary

Wednesday:  5:00 – 8:00
Thursday:       2:30 – 5:30

At the Elementary we are asking parents to sign-up for an individual time to meet with your teacher.  Please sign-up via the google calendar.

Junior High

Wednesday: 5:00 – 8:00
Thursday:     2:30 – 5:30

Our Jr. High teachers will be gathering in the Junior High gym where each will have a table where they can meet with each of you on an as-needed, first come first serve basis.   This will enable each parent to meet with as many of the teachers of their students as possible in a short amount of time, without having to coordinate scheduling. This may be a familiar process for those of you who have attended conferences at other local middle and high schools.

Fall Activities

Several of you have asked if there will be a Fall Carnival/Festival this year.  The answer is no.  We decided this year to allow the kids to wear their costumes to school on Halloween, and participate in the parade.

October 31st: Halloween Costume Day; Room Parties - The elementary students may wear their costumes to school (no violence, mask, blood or inappropriate clothing). The students will begin parading over to the Jr. High about 8:40. If you would like to watch the parade, we would love for you to join us. We would like parents and friends to line the road down to the Jr. High. The students would love to have an audience as they parade down. The classroom teachers will determine classroom party times. The book fair will be open on Halloween.

Oct. 17th Parent Meeting RESCHEDULED

IMPORTANT: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the parent night at Providence Hall Junior High is canceled. Construction to the north of the elementary school created power surges resulting in an HVAC component smoking in the Junior High. The school is safe, school will be held tomorrow, but the parent meeting is canceled to air the school. The parent meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, October 24, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. If you signed up to bring cookies, please plan to bring them that night or let us know if you are unable to do so.
