Dear Parents,
At Providence Hall we organize and track all our student data in a system we refer to as SIS.
This is the system on which our teachers input student grades, missing assignment data, assessments and occasional notes regarding student's performance in their class. By now each of you should have received log-in information (Elementary) or ability to set up your own student's login (Junior High - see below) to enable you to see your student's SIS data. For those of you who have not accessed your students account, please take a moment to do so by clicking on the SIS icon on the top right hand corner of our www.providencehall.com main page. If you need help, please call our offices and our staff will help assist you with this.
Some of you who are tracking your student's progress in SIS have had questions on how current we are in our information. We have set a standard for our teachers at both the Elementary and Jr.High schools that we will have our student grades input into SIS by one week after the due date. If your students information is not in by then, you should feel free to contact the teacher to get any additional information you need. Teacher e-mails are set up as firstinitiallastname@ providencehall.com. Please know we are setting a longer standard for work that is turned in late. Because late work creates an inconvenience for the teacher, if a student turns an assignment in late the teacher has 2 weeks to input that data into SIS.
If you have any questions about SIS or how to track your student's progress, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Erin Preston,
Providence Hall
