Attempted Kidnapping in Herriman Area
Dear Parents,
The police have informed us that there was an attempted kidnapping of a child in the Herriman area yesterday. We wanted to make you aware of this situation. The police are out in force looking for the suspect and have been watching our school as well as other Herriman schools to ensure the safety of our students. We ask that you be watchful in guarding your students, and other students, during pick-up today.
So you know, the suspect is described as Caucasian man, approximately 30 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with long dark hair that covers his eyes. The left side of his face is drooped. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans and white tennis shoes with a blue emblem.
Please let us know if you see anything suspicious or have any information of which we or the police should be aware.
Thank you,
Erin Preston
Superintendent
Providence Hall

Herriman High School Sophomore Orientation
Herriman High School will be holding Sophomore Orientation on February 16th. There will be two presentations, one at 5:30 and one at 7:00. There will be an open house with representatives from our various departments, programs and clubs available in the Main Gym to spotlight their organizations and answer questions. The presentation will explain the scheduling and registration process for next year and hand out Course Request Cards to each family. They will also explain the Arena Scheduling program which will allow students to build and modify their schedules on the computer. This Arena Scheduling process will give both students and parents unprecedented access to their next year's schedule, but also requires them to be proactive and involved in the scheduling process. As our 9th graders prepare for next year, the beginning of a great high school experience, we encourage you to ask questions, get involved and help us to make the High School experience everything you hoped for and more.
